Boost for East Lothian as extra workers head to Torness

Businesses in East Lothian will experience a boost this autumn as hundreds of additional workers join the team at EDF Energy’s Torness power station to carry out a major maintenance programme worth around £34m.

Fairy trail magic for Torness visitors

The fairies have been weaving their magic over the Torness visitor centre as record numbers have flocked to the station during the summer holidays.

More than 600 children and their families have made their way to the EDF Energy power station to check out the centre’s Fairy Trail.

Junior football team bags Torness sponsorship

A junior football team in the Borders have been able to add to their kit list thanks to a donation from Torness power station.

Chirnside Juniors were given £300 sponsorship by the EDF Energy station. The team used the money to buy new personalised club boot bags to complete their kit.

Five-star success for Torness visitor centre

Torness power station’s visitor centre has had the seal of approval from Scotland’s national tourist organisation. VisitScotland have judged that the centre and the tour of the power station should retain their five-star rating.
