Support for homelessness charity from EDF Energy

A Glasgow charity has been able to create survival kits for vulnerable homeless people after a donation by EDF Energy. The energy company has donated £8000 to the Simon Community Scotland from its Scottish Charity Fund.

EDF Energy Renewables is selling a majority stake in five of its onshore wind farms.
This financial deal fits with the EDF Group’s CAP 2030 renewable energy strategy and supports its ambitious development portfolio in the United Kingdom, a strategic market for the Group.

EDF Energy Renewables buys 11 new wind farm sites

EDF Energy Renewables ( EDF ER) has bought 11 wind farm sites from Partnerships for Renewables, a development and asset management company.

Three sites with around 100 MW already have planning consent, one site is in the planning system already and seven other sites are in development.
Gravity based foundations being constructed on the River Tyne will be floated out to sea and submerged onto the seabed ahead of turbine installation over the summer

Hunterston B power station support for North Ayrshire children’s club

A holiday club that caters for pupils at two of North Ayrshire’s special needs schools has been given a financial boost by Hunterston B power station. EDF Energy, which operates the station, has donated £8,000 from its Scottish Charity Fund to the Butterfly Club.

Torness power station support for East Lothian children’s charity

An East Lothian children’s charity has received a financial boost from one of the area’s biggest employers. EDF Energy, which operates Torness power station, has donated £8,000 to Aberlour Options – Lothian from its Scottish Charity Fund.

EDF Energy donates £20,000 to Glasgow’s Hospice

Zingy recently met Harvey the Hospice Heart at The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice when EDF Energy donated £20,000 to the hospice’s £21million Brick by Brick Appeal to build a new home for Glasgow’s Hospice.
