Dungeness B sparks recruitment drive for skilled maintenance staff
Dungeness B is on the search for up to fifteen new maintenance technicians to join the team at the nuclear power station on Romney Marsh.
Anyone interested in an exciting new challenge in the nuclear sector is invited to attend an open evening at the Ashford International Hotel from 7pm on Wednesday 19 September. Prospective attendees must register their interest beforehand by emailing dgb.hr@edf-energy.com
Maintenance Management Manager Gavin Lancaster said: “If you have a mechanical, electrical or control and instrumentation background then we would like to hear from you.”
“This is a fantastic opportunity to hear first-hand what it is like to work at a power station and to come and ask us questions about the roles and benefits of working for EDF Energy.”
“And if you think these are jobs are just for men think again. We have an increasing number of women working in roles like these across our nuclear business and we want to encourage even more to join us.”
Dungeness B is a major employer in the area with 540 full-time staff and an additional 200 permanent contract staff. The station also has 22 apprentices and graduates from the company’s engineering scheme.
To register your interest in attending the open evening, or if you have any questions, contact dgb.hr@edf-energy.com
