Bylor now use two electric cans within their Delivery Management System (DMS). When escorting deliveries around HPC we reduce our carbon emissions per mile by 75% using an electric van in comparison to diesel.
MEH Site progress in the Raw Water Storage Liaison Gallery (HGE) – on-going welding work is continuing at pace to support the next batch of supports. This work is a key enabler for the installation of the first electrical modules in HPC.
On 22 April, Minister of State for Energy and Clean Growth, Anne-Marie Trevelyan visited HPC to see the progress on Site. The Minister, who has a key role in delivering the UK's latest carbon reduction target, also visited Hinkley Point B and the nearby National College for Nuclear.
In the early hours of 28 April, Big Carl successfully lifted the Liner Ring out of Bunker 6 to its laydown area where it will now be painted by Kaefer, before installation into Nuclear Island Unit 1 later this year.
