Kier BAM nailing team celebrate 100m of ground nails installed into the vertical rock faces on site. The 40mm diameter ground nails measure up to 12m in length and are installed to provide slope protection.
The sea wall piers are painted with a protective coating prior to the infill concrete pour. Also in view is the rock armour which was placed in a temporary position along the foreshore to act as a breakwater during construction. In the background is the 500m long temporary aggregate handling jetty.
