Winter's here and it's getting chilly, so many of us are turning our attention to how we heat our homes.

Did you know that around 85% of us in Britain have boilers that burn natural gas? This makes heating one of the home's largest carbon contributors to carbon emissions.

To reach our national Net Zero carbon emissions target by 2050, almost all of our homes need to switch over to low-carbon heating. At the moment, just 5% of us in the UK have low-carbon heating, so at this rate, it'll take us a staggering 700 years to reach our Net Zero goal!

But air source heat pumps can help us reach the Net Zero target much, much sooner than that. They're low carbon, easy to install, highly efficient, and they can help you save money too,

What is an air source heat pump, and how does it work?

Air source heat pumps extract heat from the outside air or the ground around your home. They work a bit like your fridge – only in reverse. This heat is concentrated to a higher temperature by the heat pump and then sent to your heating system.

Watch our short video to learn about air source heat pumps and how they can reduce your home's carbon footprint.

Find out more and get an air source heat pump.

Why is it a good idea to install an air source heat pump?

Air source heat pumps are better for the environment and they're low maintenance too. They also have a long service life so you won't have to worry all year round about heating your home.

Are air source heat pumps easy to install?

Installing an air source heat pump is simple as there's no need for extensive groundworks.

Will an air source heat pump reduce my carbon footprint?

Yes, air source heat pumps are far more environmentally friendly than traditional gas boilers. Installing a heat pump could cut your carbon emissions by more than 23 tonnes of CO2 over 10 years. That's the same as 30 return plane flights between Heathrow and Madrid!

Will an air source heat pump save me money?

Air source heat pumps are highly efficient and their running costs are lower than other types of heating systems. The exact saving depend on your energy usage and home, our installer can give you a more accurate assessment of savings. If you're a first-time buyer, an air source heat pump could provide the long-term energy savings that you're looking for.
