EDF retains position as no.1 large business energy supplier
EDF has once again been confirmed as the leading energy supplier for large businesses in Great Britain, according to the latest data from Cornwall Insight. The report highlights EDF’s market leadership in both meter points and volume in the Industrial & Commercial (I&C) segment, reinforcing its commitment to providing reliable and innovative energy solutions.
As Britain’s largest generator of zero-carbon electricity, EDF remains dedicated to powering the nation’s large businesses and public sector organisations while helping them save both cash and carbon.
Key Findings from the Cornwall Insight Report:
- EDF added 14,285-meter points and increased its billing volume by 2TWh, demonstrating substantial growth in the I&C sector.
- The company holds the No.1 position in the I&C market for both meter points and volume.
- Historically focused on larger I&C customers, EDF maintains a 66% share of meters and a 48% share of volume in the HH >30GWh sector.
- Across the entire I&C market, EDF accounts for 27% of meters and 25% of volume.
