EU Commission gives our Imtech acquisition the official green light
Official Approval
Delighted to announce that the European commission has officially approved our acquisition of Imtech Group. This acquisition will greatly enhance EDF Energy’s capability to help our customers manage their bills, consumption and carbon footprint as well as fulfil long term strategic sustainability projects.
Who are Imtech?
Imtech is a leading engineering services company and one of the largest providers of technical services to construction, industrial, commercial and public sector clients in the UK and Ireland, such as BBC’s Media City, Heathrow airport, the University of Lincoln and numerous rail development projects such as the renovation of London Bridge station.

We believe that this acquisition will greatly reinforce our capability to support our customers in the management and optimisation of their energy. The combined expertise of EDF Group and Imtech will enable us to apply the latest technologies to existing services such as efficiency monitoring, cogeneration and DSR, whilst developing innovative services that will help customers make the most of their energy resources.
