Imtech secures multi-million pound project with Royal Mail

By Talk Power Team | Posted January 12, 2018

Our engineering services specialists, Imtech have been appointed to deliver a £18.3m mechanical and electrical installation project for Royal Mail.

It’s part of redevelopment work at the Mount Pleasant sorting office in North London, which will create extra office space, increase the sorting office capacity and provide additional car parking, as well as a new driver mess and gym.

Commenting on the appointment, Martin McEvoy, Managing Director, Imtech Engineering Services London and South, said: “Following the success of our installation at the newly-opened British Postal Museum, we are delighted to have been awarded this project by Blue Sky Building and the Royal Mail, further developing our relationship with these clients and adding to our range of projects in London.”

Imtech has already assessed the current systems on site and undertaken extensive value engineering of the scheme, which is a method used to eliminate any unnecessary costs to achieve value for money.  This attention to detail demonstrates a deep understanding of what the customer thinks is important.

The work will now be completed in phases to ensure the sorting office can remain open throughout the project, which is expected to be completed in 2021.
