What is a novation?

Novating a contract takes place between customers and/or frameworks when it has been agreed that a new customer will take over an existing EDF contract.

Please note: if you answer no to any of the below questions, this is not a novation and will need to be processed as either a name change or a change of tenancy.
Is the customer part of a framework?
Has the customer gone into administration?
Does the customer have consolidated billing?
Is the customer on an agreed contract (not on deemed prices)?
