Last year we migrated customers from the old Energy Zone portal to our new My Account for Large Business site. Since then, we’ve received feedback from customers suggesting improvements we could make to enhance the overall experience.
Based on this feedback, we’ve implemented three new features.
- Email notifications – when your requested Half Hourly data is ready to download
- A better Half Hourly data format - kVArh values will be displayed alongside kWh
- Letters of authority – can be uploaded and accessed at any time
If you request Half Hourly data from the 'Consumption Data' section
We'll email when your data is ready
So you can log in and download your data from the 'Documents' section
Reactive Power (kVArh) is the difference between working power (active power measured in kW) and total power consumed (apparent power measured in kVA).
Some electrical equipment used in industrial and commercial buildings requires an amount of ‘reactive power’ in addition to ‘active power’ in order to work effectively.
Reactive power therefore generates the magnetic fields which are essential for inductive electrical equipment to operate – especially transformers and motors. This load is measured via the reactive register on your half hourly meter.
kVArh values will now appear below the kWh data in Half Hourly data reports.
- MPAN 1 01/01/2015 00:00:00 kWh
- MPAN 1 01/01/2015 00:00:30 kWh
- MPAN 1 01/01/2015 24:00:00 kWh
- MPAN 1 01/01/2015 00:00:00 kVArh
- MPAN 1 01/01/2015 00:00:30 kVArh
When you download Half Hourly data from MyAccount for Large Business
You'll notice kVArh values now appear in your consumption reports
This makes it easy for you to get a snapshot view at the top of the report
It’s a legal requirement that anyone who accesses information on customer’s behalf MUST provide a Letter of Authority (LOA) to show that they have permission to do so.
If anyone registers or adds a new company on your behalf, they must add a letter of authority
Letters of authority can be viewed at any time in the 'Documents' section at the top of the page
Once uploaded successfully, or the upload fails, we'll email you to let you know
