Currently we're having some technical problems with our telephone system. We apologise in advance if you've been affected by this. We're working to fix the issue as quickly as possible. In the meantime, our online services are still available.
I think my electricity meter’s been disconnected. What do I do?
If you've moved into a property and there’s no electricity, first check your trip switches to see if you can turn it on.
If we’ve disconnected you
If the property’s been disconnected by EDF Energy, and it’s been empty for longer than 12 months, please contact us using the Chat button on the right to arrange an appointment to reconnect the supply (we’ll also check if you’re eligible for a smart meter).
We’ll need to see an installation certificate (I-cert) to make sure the wiring in the property’s safe. You can get one of these from a NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) qualified electrician.
If you’re the current tenant or homeowner and aren’t sure why your electricity has been disconnected, contact us using the Chat button on the right and we’ll investigate this for you.
