Citizens Advice Plymouth

We know that dealing with finances can sometimes be overwhelming. That’s why we’ve partnered with a fantastic initiative called Citizens Advice Plymouth. They specialise in debt and money management and offer our customers a completely independent and impartial service that helps them get their finances under control.

 

What to expect on a referral

Once referred to Citizens Advice Plymouth, you’ll complete an initial assessment so they can find out more about your circumstances.This will include providing information about outstanding debts or where immediate support is needed, such as eviction threats or bailiff action.  You’ll also be asked about your income and support you in applying for any unclaimed benefits and financial entitlements you qualify for.

For more complex referrals, a dedicated and experienced caseworker will support your needs.

How have Citizens Advice Plymouth supported our customers?

  • Citizens Advice Plymouth helped our customers to increase household income by an average of £2,467 per customer supported from April 2021 – March 2022.

  • Successful awards were granted to 464 customers totalling £508,402.07 of energy debt cleared.

  • Citizens Advice Plymouth successfully provided financial support for 29,258 customers from April 2021 - March 2022. 

Getting independent advice

We work with Citizens Advice Plymouth to give you independent advice to help you manage your money.

This includes help to prioritise different types of bills and support to help you find suitable options to improve your situation.
