Why is there a QR code on my bill?
A QR Code or Quick Response Code is a type of two-dimensional barcode that can be read using smart phones, like an iPhone, Android or Blackberry. They link directly to text, emails, websites, phone numbers and more.
QR code on your bill
The information contained in the QR code displayed on your EDF Energy bill or statement is unique to your bill: postcode, supplier name, tariff name, payment method, MPAN and/or MPRN number, annual consumption or estimated consumption (if you have been with EDF Energy for less than 12 months).
The QR Code never expires however, if any details change on your account then the results will be out of date and may not be relevant.
