How do I set up my Direct Debit?
Setting up a Direct Debit to pay for your energy is easy – and it means you'll start paying a lower unit price for your energy.
All you need is the sort code and account number of your chosen bank or building society, and the date you want your Direct Debit to be paid each month.
How to set up your Direct Debit
If you're an EDF customer who wants to start paying by Direct Debit, go to:
- the Direct Debit set-up page in MyAccount – you'll need to log in first
- Live Chat – our online team is available 24/7 to help you set up your Direct Debit. Just click the green Chat button on the right
If you're about to take out a new tariff with EDF Energy (either as a new or existing customer), just choose the Direct Debit option when you're signing up to your new tariff.
Your Direct Debit instruction can be set up online or over the phone. If this requires two signatories please complete and return a printed instruction.
