EV Rally competition terms and conditions

Customers will be selected from those who have opted in to receive marketing communications and newsletters from EDF and who have completed the online entry form to win a ticket (the “Offer”) to the London to Brighton EV Rally taking place on Saturday 22 June 2024. The following Rules shall apply:

Eligibility

1. Customers must meet the following criteria to qualify for the Offer (those customers qualifying being the “Qualifying Customers”):

a. The customer must have their domestic electricity supplied by EDF;

b. The customer must be the registered holder of an active EDF electricity supply account;

c. The customer must have received an email notifying them that they can enter the EDF London to Brighton EV Rally competition to win one ticket to the event taking place on Saturday 22 June 2024;

d. The customer must have entered their details (including their full name, email address and telephone number) using the online entry form; and

e. The customer must own or lease an electric vehicle (“EV”) and have their own insurance.

2. The Offer includes:

a. Driving in the rally itself from Westminster, London to Brighton, East Sussex as part of the EDF team (the customer must drive their own EV); and

b. Full access to the London to Brighton EV Rally event; full hospitality, E-Village and the after-party.

3. The Offer is available for up to twenty Qualifying Customers claiming it during the availability period specified in the email containing the invitation to participate in the Competition.

4. Only the registered account holder of the domestic electricity account with EDF may claim the Offer and only if they received an email informing them that they are eligible to enter the Competition through the online entry form. The Offer cannot be claimed by anyone other than the person who received such email.

5. Qualifying Customers receiving an email inviting them to take part in the Competition will be able to submit an entry form until 00:00 on 28th May 2024. Any online forms submitted after that time will not be included in the draw for the Competition.

Liability

6. Insofar as is permitted by law, EDF, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of EDF, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Data protection and publicity

7. By entering into the Competition, customers agree that any personal information provided by them may be held and used by EDF or its agents and suppliers to administer the Competition.

8. Customers must be aware that by winning the Competition, they agree that EDF may use their name, image and town or county of residence to announce the winner of this Competition and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.

9. The winning customer further agrees to participate in any reasonable publicity required by EDF. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the Offer.

10. The customer agrees for EDF to share their information with the events team at London to Brighton EV Rally in order for them to contact the customer about the Offer.

11. If the customer is successful in winning the Offer, they will be contacted by EDF after 28th May 2024, but before the day of the event (22 June 2024) to book them into the event. The customer will be given a link that will direct the customer to enter an offer code to get their free ticket from the London to Brighton EV Rally directly. From that point onwards, all updates and correspondence will be managed by the London to Brighton EV Rally team.

12. EDF’s privacy policy shall apply to any data collected in connection with this Offer and can be found on our website at https://edfenergy.com/terms-conditions/privacy-cookie-policy

General

13. The Offer does not include travel or accommodation.

14. The Offer is not transferable, and no cash equivalent will be offered.

15. EDF reserves the right to disqualify any Qualifying Customer who does not fully comply with these Rules or if the Qualifying Customer’s conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the Offer.

16. EDF reserves the right to extend, withdraw, amend, or replace the Offer with immediate effect. If this Offer is withdrawn, amended, or replaced, EDF shall publish notice and/or the amended Rules on its relevant customer-facing web page(s).

17. If the customer would like to bring an additional attendee, they may do so but they must first make a payment of £25.00 to the London to Brighton EV Rally Events Team as a contribution to food and drink by purchasing an exclusive EDF Add on ticket at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/london-to-brighton-ev-rally-2024-tickets-771374611227?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=cp&aff=ebdsshcopyurl

18. If these Rules or any part of them should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, then to the extent that they are so illegal, invalid or unenforceable, they shall in that state or country be treated as severed and deleted from these Rules and the remaining Rules shall survive and remain in full force and effect.

19. These Rules shall be governed by the law of England and Wales, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

20. Customers should not enter this Competition if any of these provisions are unacceptable.
