Coming soon: A new way for small businesses to power up sustainably
We have exciting news for small businesses looking to take sustainable action without the difficulty. In April, EDF Small Business will launch a fixed price electricity tariff that’s 100% renewable backed by REGOs (Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin)*.
If you want a way to strengthen your sustainability story and show customers you’re committed to doing the right thing, this upcoming tariff could be exactly what you’ve been waiting for.
Why renewable electricity matters for small businesses
Across the UK, more customers are choosing to spend their money with businesses that care about the planet. By choosing a renewable backed tariff, you’re showing what your small business stands for.
EDF is Britain’s biggest generator of zero carbon electricity and this REGO backed tariff takes that commitment even further.
The tariff launching soon will allow small businesses to:
Show genuine climate commitment
It ensures your electricity consumption is matched with renewable generation through certificates known as REGOs, giving your business a transparent link to clean power sources**.
Report zero emissions from purchased electricity
For many organisations, electricity is a major contributor to reported carbon impact. With a renewable-backed tariff, you’ll be able to report zero carbon emissions for the electricity you buy - helping you progress towards sustainability goals.
Simple, fixed prices for 1 - 4 years
The new tariff will offer:
- Fixed pricing options that lock in costs for up to four years
- 100% renewable-backed supply through UK REGOs*
- Reliable supplier
- No-fuss switching, handled for you
With EDF you’ll also get:
- Effortless online account management
- Dedicated small business energy specialists who help manage your account
- Access to tools and expert advice to help your business grow
Stay tuned
This renewable-backed tariff is almost here. If you’re looking to cut carbon, strengthen your environmental credentials and choose a future focused energy partner, you’ll want to keep an eye out for its launch.
*100% Renewable Electricity: EDF will match every unit of electricity you use under this contract with power generated from natural renewable sources. To demonstrate this, we will obtain and hold the equivalent number of Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs). EDF will make all reasonable efforts to secure enough REGOs to cover 100% of your electricity consumption on this tariff.

Department for Energy Security and Net Zero's (DESNZ) latest Fuel Mix Disclosure Data Table states that Nuclear & Renewables produce zero Carbon dioxide emissions (NB this is footnoted as relating only to generator emissions in the operational phase and does not include emissions related to the fuel supply chain or maintenance activities)
DESNZ Energy Trends 5.1 states that renewable energy includes wind, solar, hydro and bioenergy.
The zero-carbon electricity purchased is supplied to the National Grid. Customers receive electricity via the National Grid, not directly from zero-carbon generators.
