Torness is a nuclear power station on the east coast of Scotland, 33 miles east of Edinburgh. It is capable of supplying electricity over 2 million UK homes.

Group visting EDF Energy

Drop into our visitor centre or book a full tour to see for yourself how we generate nuclear energy.

Our visitor centre has an interactive exhibition where you can find out more about nuclear power generation. We also offer pre-booked tours of the power station and it's all free of charge. 

Community

EDF Energy hold regular meetings (Local Liaison Council or LLC) with local people, the media, council and emergency services pepresentatives and local politicians to maintain regular communications about the nuclear site. 

The next LLC is 14 March 2019 at Torness power station.
