Visit Dungeness B power station
Due to Coronavirus all site tours have been suspended and our exhibition centre remains closed, we are also unfortunately unable to take any forward bookings at this time. We will update our website with further information when the situation changes.

Our visitor centre at Dungeness B power station sits in a unique location in the middle of Dungeness National Nature Reserve in Kent; a Special Protection Area (SPA) and a Special Area of Conservation (SAC). It’s a diverse landscape home to many unique plants, animals and birds - one third of all UK plant species are found here at Dungeness.
The visitor centre has an interactive exhibition centre to help visitors understand more about nuclear power generation and we offer free Exploring Electricity tours for the general public, societies, business groups, colleges and universities at either 9.30am or 1.30pm (subject to availability).
We also offer free educational visits for primary & secondary schools from 9.30am until 2pm, which includes a STEM activity (either science or ecology based).

Tour Information
Tour time: For 9.30 am and 1.30pm tours you will need to allow 2.5 hours for your tour experience which includes a safety and security briefing.
Minimum age: Minimum age for the station tour is 8 years old.
Bookings must be made at least 4 weeks in advance for security purposes.
You will be accompanied by a trained station guide and will include the cooling water intake, turbine hall, reactor viewing gallery and control room simulator (subject to availability). All site tours include a safety and security briefing and the issue of relevant PPE (personal protective equipment).

Monday to Friday: 09:00 - 16:00 hours, except bank holidays
Please note: The visitor centre will be closed on a number of dates for special events. Please call us in advance of your visit.
