Are you aged 16-21 and living in Suffolk or Norfolk?
The Young Sizewell C programme helps connect young people to in-demand career and apprenticeship opportunities in the region. This includes employment opportunities in Suffolk and Norfolk, as well as providing information and updates on the future Sizewell C project.
We are working with our employment and training partners in the region to help create opportunities and improve access to training for young people even before construction at Sizewell C gets underway. Not sure what you want to do yet? No problem – we’ll help you identify your skills and become the best version of yourself.
Whether you’re still at school or college, in or out of the workplace, we want to help you fast-track your future.

Check out our podcast!
We’ve teamed up with Take Your Place - Neaco for another interesting podcast episode. This time, we hear from Cerise an apprentice at Hinkley Point C and Poppy an apprentice at Sizewell B, and get an insight into what it’s really like to do degree apprenticeships in nuclear engineering and commercial management.
You can catch our previous podcast with Head of HR Rachel Kerry here to learn about how we aim to create 1,500 apprentices during the construction of Sizewell C.
What is Sizewell C
Sizewell C is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for people in the East of England – and if planning permission for the power station is granted, it could be your springboard into a rewarding future career.
Sizewell C will be a virtual replica of Hinkley Point C which is now under construction in Somerset. It’ll supply low-carbon electricity to six million homes. Provide jobs for 900 people. And make a long-lasting positive difference to the economy in the region.
Still unsure about what you want to be?
In this video, we catch up with Love Island's Wes Nelson - a former nuclear engineer himself - to hear what he has to say on careers and training at Sizewell C.
There are loads of great resources for young people to learn more about careers in nuclear. ‘The Source’ for Young People in Suffolk provides helpful information, advice and support for young people in Suffolk on learning choices, finding work or training, health, relationships, finance and much more.
Check out Icanbea… too where you can play the careers wizard to link your interests and skills to jobs that suit you, take a 360° virtual tour of local companies, find live job vacancies and follow the industries and companies that interest you the most.
