British business - the backbone of our supply chain

Thousands of companies across the UK are set to benefit from Sizewell C.

It is expected that 70% of the project’s construction value will be spent with UK-based businesses helping to “level up” the country with huge opportunities already confirmed, not just for East Anglia, but Wales, the North-East and West of England, and other regions.

While over 140 Tier 1, direct and large, suppliers will be involved in the project, there will be thousands of opportunities for a whole range of small-to-medium suppliers across a host of different industries – from construction to catering, logistics, project management, manufacturing and more.

"The legacy that could be left behind is huge!"

Significant benefits to the local area and positive impacts on employment are just some of the advantages that could come with Sizewell C. In this video, we hear from Brafe Engineering in Woodbridge, Suffolk, about what a new power station means to them.

Opportunities across the UK

Are you a business outside of Suffolk looking for opportunities within the Sizewell C supply chain? We invite you to register via the EDF supplier portal for more information.

Supplying nuclear projects

Sizewell C will be modelled on Hinkely Point C (HPC), the nuclear power station EDF is building in Somerset. EDF works directly with hundreds of businesses across the South West who make up HPC's supply chain.

We spoke to four HPC suppliers who shared tips for Suffolk-based businesses wanting to supply Sizewell C.

Local supply chain information

We have teamed up with the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce to host an online portal to connect businesses across the region with Tier 1 suppliers. Around £1.5bn will be spent in Suffolk during construction.

Sizewell C Consortium

Over 200 companies have joined the Sizewell C Consortium to show their support for the project and ensure its benefits are maximised for the UK. Members include businesses from as far and wide as Inverness, Cornwall, Belfast and Anglesey.
