Sizewell C is a vital project for Britain but it is also an opportunity to bring lasting change for the better to East Suffolk. It will provide:
- Around 2,600 local jobs during peak construction
- £125 million per year into the local economy
- £40 million per year during the 60 years of operation
We want to make sure the benefits of Sizewell C are maximised for all communities in East Suffolk during both the construction and operational phases of the new power station. That's why we have developed wide-ranging plans, informed by many consultations, to mitigate the local impact of the project, including a funding package to support the environment, training and education, and local community groups.
