Successful candidates may be required to complete the following in order to gain access to Hinkley Point C Site:

  • A BPSS Pre-employment check; which will require a three year checkable history
  • Police certification e.g Basic Disclosure
  • Drug & Alcohol testing (random testing once employment commences)
  • 2 Day CCNSG or HS&E Test
  • Triple Bar course
  • Occupational Health Questionnaire
  • Proof to work in the UK (3 forms of identification with one photographic form

Please note any employment offers are conditional upon the above requirements and successful vetting being obtained.

We will also be working with our supply chain partners to identify employment opportunities that could help you develop additional skills and experience required for working at Hinkley Point C. Please indicate if you would like to be informed of these opportunities.

Union Learn is the learning and skills organisation of the TUC, it is an organisation which is partnered with NNB – HPC project to aid access to funding for specific training for individuals. The organisation could provide additional training courses, part-funded or free to the individual to help them gain employment.

Completion of this application form is no guarantee of employment. Each individual will be considered on a case by case basis.

Nuclear New Build (NNB) may need to contact you periodically to keep you aware of any events or opportunities which may be of interest to you.

All information held by the brokerage will be kept in line with the Data Protection Act 1998. The information you supply will be held securely by NNB who work to ensure that it has the appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to prevent the unauthorised or unlawful processing of data and/or accidental loss or destruction of data. All data must not be retained for longer than is necessary for its purpose. When the data is disposed of it will be disposed of securely.

Any personal information you give to us will be processed in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998. Your information (including sensitive personal data) will be collected and processed for the following purposes:

  • To administer and maintain personnel records
  • To accurately record and report on your working status i.e. employed / volunteering / training / studying
  • To seek relevant training and or employment within our supply chain, local authorities and various organisations / individuals.
  • For training and development records
  • To forward your details for business purposes to organisations who will be responsible for evaluating projects
  • For statistical analysis and reporting (where feasible the data will be anonymised)
  • To prove that you are authorised to work in the UK
  • For any other reasonable business purpose

The use of such personal information will be in compliance with the local legislative requirements and is obtained and retained only where it is relevant to the pursuit of legitimate business objectives. The organisations with which we may share your information will sign a data transfer agreement that does not allow them to use your information for any purpose other than those specified above, and all will be subject to the Data Protection Act 1998.

The information collected within the form will be used to monitor compliance with EDF’s legal obligations. This information will only be used for anonymous statistical analysis and access to any information will be strictly controlled, this information will not be used to inform any decisions relating to prospective employment.

If at any time you would like to amend your details or be removed from the system please contact NNB Brokerage and your request will be processed accordingly. At no time will your personal information be provided to any third party organisations except as stated above with your consent.
