Terms and conditions 

‘we’ or ‘us’ or ‘our’ refers to Contact Solar (“CS”) a company registered in England and Wales with company registered number 08847741 and whose registered office is at 316 Blackpool Road Fulwood, Preston, Lancs, England, PR2 3AE. 

The Promotion 

  1. The promotion is a free 5.12kWh Sunsynk Elite battery module, including the required battery management system, power distribution unit and base (the “Battery”), subject to the Eligible Customer purchasing and having installed by CS a solar system consisting of solar panels and one compatible hybrid inverter, with a minimum system size of 4kW. (the “Solar System”) from CS (together, the “Promotion”).  

  2. This Promotion is promoted by EDF Energy Customers Limited (“EDF”) a company registered in England and Wales with company registered number 02228297 and whose registered office is at address Nova North, 11 Bressenden Place, London, SW1E 5BY. 

  3. By registering your interest in this Promotion, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“you”, “your”, “the Customer”).  

  4. These terms and conditions are separate and supplemental to any other terms and conditions that you may have with CS and will not affect the existing rights and obligations under those terms. 
     

Eligibility 

  1. To be eligible for the Promotion (“Eligible”) you must: 

  • at all times comply with these terms and conditions; 

  • be aged 18 or over; 

  • reside in Great Britain (the Promotion is not available in Northern Ireland); 

  • be a residential customer (commercial customers are not eligible to take part in this Promotion) and have full title and ownership in the residential property you have chosen to have the Solar System and Battery installed at; and  

  • successfully claim the Solar System and Battery in accordance with Clause 6 of these terms and conditions.  

Claiming the Solar System and Battery 

  1. Without prejudice to Clause 5, to claim the Solar System and Battery, you must also: 

  • register your interest in purchasing the Solar System between 00:00 on 02 November 2026 and 23:59 on 29 November 2026 inclusive (the "Claim Period"), by visiting EDF's website:  to be updated
     

  • agree an appointment date with CS in advance of the installation date and grant the operative(s) of CS access to the residential property you have chosen to have the Solar System and Battery installed at, to assess the suitability of that property (“Site Survey”); 
     

  • agree an appointment date with CS to have the Solar System and Battery installed at your residential property before 30th April 2027 (the “Installation Deadline”) 

Ineligibility 

  • CS is not obligated to award the Battery to Customers who, in CS’s sole discretion, become ineligible at any point prior to the Installation Deadline, including but not limited to, if:  

    - you fail to arrange a Site Survey when requested by CS to do so and/or fail to follow the instructions of CS regarding providing access to your chosen property for the purposes of carrying out the Site Survey, including being in attendance and ensuring a safe environment for CS’s operatives to work in; and 

    - your appointment date with CS is after the Installation Deadline (including if you rearrange your appointment date to after the Installation Deadline) 

    - CS determines that you do not have the full title and ownership in the residential property you have selected to have the Solar System or Battery installed at and/or the Site Survey deems your property as unsuitable for the Solar System or Battery to be installed. 

    - Following the installation of the Solar System and Battery, the Discount will be automatically applied to the invoice issued by CS on the date of your installation.   

General 

  1. The Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer with CS and Customers are only entitled to receive one Solar System and Battery per residential property under this Promotion. 

  2. The Solar System and type and brand of Battery is pre-selected by CS only and cannot be redeemed, traded or received in any other format, for example as a cash alternative. 

  3. CS reserves the right to cancel or rearrange any agreed installation date at any time. Where CS does so, this will not affect a Customer’s eligibility where they had originally agreed an appointment date prior to the Installation Deadline, subject to the Customer’s compliance with the remainder of the terms and conditions. 

  4. The Solar System and type and brand of Battery is pre-selected by CS only and cannot be redeemed, traded or received in any other format, for example as a cash alternative. 

  5. EDF reserves the right to extend, revoke, amend or replace any part of this Promotion and these terms and conditions, including where it must comply with the decision of any relevant judicial or regulatory body, with immediate effect and shall not be held liable for doing so. The latest version of these terms will be available via EDF’s website, https://www.edfenergy.com/solar-black-friday-offer. 

  6. By registering your interest in this Promotion, you warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. If any information you submit is found to be fraudulent or incorrectly completed or if CS has reasonable grounds to believe that you have breached any of these terms and conditions, you will automatically no longer be Eligible and CS may cancel and reclaim any Solar System and Battery that has been awarded to you. 

  7. To be able to facilitate this Promotion, your personal information will be shared with and between EDF and CS and their chosen third parties required for the purposes of administering the Promotion and for the installation of the Solar System and Battery. EDF's privacy policy and CS’s privacy policy shall apply to any data collected in connection with the Promotion.

  8. Each provision of these Terms and Conditions shall be a separate provision applying and surviving even if for any reason one or other of the provisions is held inapplicable or unreasonable in any circumstances. 

  9. EDF and CS are not liable to you for any losses you incur howsoever caused, including but not limited to any losses which arise from any technological or procedural omission, failure or error and/or any action or inaction by EDF, CS or any other third party or event beyond direct control to which EDF or CS may rely upon in order to provide the Promotion to you. 

  10. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions or its subject matter or formation.
