Our hybrid heat pump offer works out cheaper than with the Green Homes Grant as EDF have subsidised the upfront cost for you and you would have to buy a new boiler under the Green Homes Grant.
EDF's hybrid heating solution makes it simple and affordable to reduce your dependency on Oil or LPG, and it's backed by the consumer protection agency Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC).
In addition, we're working with expert installers PassivSystems, who are accredited by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) and TrustMark, the Government Endorsed Quality Scheme.
Hybrid heating adds an energy-efficient air source heat pump (ASHP) to your existing heating system. Here's why it's worth getting a hybrid heating system:
The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme allows EDF Energy to recover the cost of equipment and installing the hybrid heating system, minus the one-off charge of £399.
Once the heat pump and smart controls have been installed, you'll need to assign your RHI grant payments to us. You'll also need to register the system for any other scheme requirements.
I would definitely recommend this product its great on sustainability, cost savings and my home has never been more comfortable. I have been looking at heat pumps for some time but the initial upfront costs prevented me from proceeding. This deal has given me the ability to have a heat pump I have always wanted but with minimal upfront costs.
The experience from start to finish of getting the new system was very smooth. System is extremely efficient, easy to use and will be showing significant savings from our LPG bottles. I definitely recommend others to consider taking up the offer.

A heating system is only effective if heat doesn't escape. A house with no insulation loses around 33% of heat through walls and 25% through the roof. Get insulation installed and save up to £530 per year on bills.
To be eligible for the Renewable Heat Incentive, your home needs adequate insulation. So, if you don't have any, take advantage of the Green Homes Grant to get 66% off the cost.
As Britain's largest generator of zero carbon electricity(7), we offer a range of zero carbon electricity tariffs that our heat pump customers can take advantage of to lower their home's carbon footprint on the path to Net Zero.
The Government Metering and Monitoring Service Package financial support is only available through OFGEM for the first 10,000 applications and you have the option to apply. You can apply for these after your heat pump has been installed and should receive the lump sum payment within 3 months of your application, the yearly payments are paid in quarterly instalments over 7 years.
This offer is available for all customers who meet the eligibility criteria, once the home suitability visit has been carried out. This offer can be withdrawn at any time. The cost is dependent on successful registration of the system for Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and EDF getting an estimated RHI subsidy over the 7 years of the contract.
This is based on the Freedom Project heat pump field study, as well as the UK government report (a hybrid heat pump can be designed and operated to reduce your oil boiler usage for space heating by up to 80%). Our Microgeneration Certification Scheme-approved installer will provide you with a more accurate eligibility and savings assessment after carrying out the no obligation survey. Actual performance can vary and will be influenced by a range of factors, such as: your house type, boiler efficiency, fuel prices, external weather and your heat requirements. Subject to changes in the Renewable Heat Incentive obligation. We may give you a quote for any additional work identified during site visits.
Price excludes the costs of any changes to your existing heating system, electric wiring, and maintenance of your existing heating system. We can provide you with a quote for any additional work identified during site visits. Cancellation charges apply and are subject to EDF recovering costs for equipment and installation.
The cost is dependent on EDF Energy getting a Renewable Heat Incentive subsidy under the Assignment of Rights scheme over 7 years to pay for the equipment and installation. Termination fees will apply.
