EDF Energy’s Business Apprenticeship Scheme is a training programme designed to power your career within the energy industry. Upon completion of the scheme you will have gained valuable experience within the UK’s leading generator and supplier of low carbon energy.
Dependent on the position you apply for, the EDF Energy Business Apprenticeship is 24 to 36 months in duration. You will receive formal training provided by external education providers and EDF Energy, with hands-on experience gained from your day to day role. Consisting of a number of rotations between three and six months long, the scheme is designed to give a rare insight into different parts of our Central Support functions.

We currently have a number of Business Apprenticeship vacancies within Nuclear Generation based in our Barnwood office in Gloucester and for the first time at 2 of our Power Stations – Hinkley Point B (Somerset) and Hartlepool (Teesside).
Supporting the operation of EDF Energy’s existing fleet of nuclear power stations poses many unique engineering and commercial challenges. With an annual spend of over £600m the EDF Energy Central Technical Organisation is at the core of ensuring that the power stations can operate safely and that the commercial arrangements which underpin the operation deliver value for the organisation.
Our Business Apprenticeships focus on the commercial and non-technical aspects of our support to operational sites.
