With over 5 million residential customer accounts, from individual homes to some of the UK’s biggest organisations, marketing is a major part of our business. We divide our marketing operations into two: B2C (Business to Customer) and B2B (Business to Business).

Our focus is on winning new customers and retaining existing ones. We’re already one of the major energy suppliers to households in the UK and it’s our mission to build on that strong position. There’s a range of teams you could join, covering almost every aspect of consumer-focused marketing and research. Our Customer Development team plan and define the strategy for retention of existing customers. Incorporating the entire customer experience, from the start of supply to the final bill. Our Acquisition team develops ways of attracting new customers through business partnerships. The Consumer and Market Insight team delivers the research and data requirements that help to identify customer behaviours and trends. Finally, the Digital Team manages all of our online channels, from our sales websites, aggregators and social media, to our smart phone app and online account tool for customers - MyAccount.

 

Training

Keeping your skills up to date is essential, and so EDF Energy offers continuous opportunities to develop. In addition to the standard EDF Energy induction training, there are also opportunities to take on additional duties. Qualifications are open to everyone and it’s up to you to decide how much you’d like to take on and how far you want to go in your role.
