Member of FCI

We are member of the Forum for Circular Infrastructure (FCI), a forum for the UK’s infrastructure operators to collaborate across the circular economy theme and to meet the challenge of delivering major infrastructure programmes in a constrained economy.

Commitment to the UN SDGs

EDF Group was an early adopter of the UN SDGs and the draft goals were used as the main reference framework for EDF’s Corporate Responsibility objectives that were launched as part of the Group’s CAP2030 strategy in 2017.

Rated 'Excellent' on Trustpilot

We maintained an ‘Excellent’ rating on Trustpilot. The rating measures customer satisfaction based the reviews entered by customers on Trustpilot.

Vulnerability Commitment

We are one of only two suppliers to be awarded Energy UK’s Vulnerability Commitment Gold Star Rating.

Environment

Support to EV 100

We support the commitment by EDF Group to EV 100 aim for a fleet of 100% electric light vehicles by 2030 and install EV charging for staff and customers. At the end of 2023, we had more than 580 EVs qualifying for EV100, representing 30% of our light vehicle fleet.

Carbon Trust

The Carbon Trust has assured that the electricity supplied under the following products is 100% covered by Renewable Certificates that have been obtained and retired by EDF, in line with the WRI GHG Protocol Scope 2 Guidance (2015).

Biodiversity

EDF is the only UK energy company with land certified to the Biodiversity Benchmark. We maintain the Biodiversity Benchmark accreditation for the management of the non-operational land at our six UK AGR nuclear landholdings. This is part of EDF Group’s commitments to Act4nature, an initiative aiming at accelerating concrete business action in favour of nature.

Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026

Our Customers business has been named a Sunday Times Best Place to Work for a second consecutive year. The business ranked in the top 10 for Very Big Organisations and was highly commended as a Best Place to Work for Disabled Employees, reflecting our commitment to an inclusive and accessible workplace.

Glassdoor Best Places to Work 2026

We have been recognised as one of Glassdoor's Best Places to Work in the UK for 2026, ranking 15th among large employers. Based on anonymous feedback from current and former employees, the award recognises our commitment to creating a workplace where people can grow, develop and thrive.

Living Wage Employer accreditation

We have maintained a Living Wage employer accreditation by the Living Wage Foundation since 2016. This accreditation includes the employees of our suppliers who work on our sites.

Cornerstone Employer accreditation

The Inspire Programme has also allowed Hinkley Point C to partner with the The Careers & Enterprise Company and the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to become a ‘Cornerstone Employer’ in the Heart of the South West Careers Hub.

Award through NEPO contract

We developed a public sector electricity contract with the North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO). NEPO received the Best Public Sector Project Award at the National Social Value Awards 2022 and the award for Social Value at the Government Opportunities (GO) Awards 2022, which recognise the social value of the contract with EDF UK.

Excellent rating from CEEQUAL

Sizewell C has been awarded an ‘excellent’ rating from infrastructure sustainability assessment scheme, CEEQUAL, for the Strategy phase of the project. The rating means that Sizewell C has clearly demonstrated commitment to delivering a sustainable project, from the outset.

Gold Award in the Defence Employee Recognition Scheme

EDF is also signatories to the Armed Forces Covenant and recognised with a Gold Award in the Defence Employee Recognition Scheme (DERS), honouring the value that serving Personnel, both Regular and Reservists, Veterans and military families contribute to our business and our country.

GEEIS Level 6

After a rigorous external audit, we’ve achieved Level 6 (the highest possible rating) for both Gender Equality and Diversity Equality under the Gender Equality European & International Standard (GEEIS).
