In creating this report EDF Energy, in partnership with Forum for the Future, established an independent stakeholder panel. The remit of the panel was to provide guidance on the content and style of the report and, once the report had been completed, to assess it for materiality and transparency. The aim was to provide a form of stakeholder assurance in order to reassure the reader that the most relevant and important topics are covered by the report, and that those topics are covered in an open and honest manner. The group was not tasked with assessing the validity of claims or the accuracy of data. You can read their assessment, along with Forum for the Future’s assessment of the process.
