About This Report

This report describes the performance of EDF Energy during the 2004 calendar year. It covers our performance in the widest sense, not only how we perform financially but also how we perform against our wider social and environmental responsibilities. The coverage of our performance is described in terms of our five company ambitions.

The composition of the company has not changed significantly over the last 12 months; our operations are largely similar, although the company has become more integrated. The information described in this report reflects the performance of EDF Energy rather than its constituent branches.

The content of this report has been shaped significantly by an independent and confidential group of staff drawn from across EDF Energy. However, it is hoped that this report addresses all the issues our many stakeholders want to see us cover.
