Introduction
EDF Energy and its activities are affected by, and affect, a wide range of stakeholders. Principal among these are our customers, our employees and our shareholder.
Our customers, which include not only our residential customers to whom we provide energy, but also our major business customers, customers of other suppliers who rely on our distribution networks, and customers of the PFI projects in which we are involved.
Our employees. Without our employees we could not operate. Our diverse workforce includes meter readers, customer contact centre operators, energy efficiency specialists and power station engineers.
Our shareholder. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of the EDF Group. EDF is our shareholder.
Our list of stakeholders is not limited to these three groups with the following affecting, or affected by, our operations:
Individual stakeholders are identified from within the company, and 'owners' for the relationships are identified.
We engage with our stakeholders formally and informally and on both a structured and an ad hoc basis. Our approach to stakeholder dialogue is covered in more detail here.
