Change and Job Security

Large scale change brings uncertainty as well as opportunity and, while taking full advantage of the opportunities, care must be taken to manage the uncertainties.

Creating one company from several legacy organisations has provided numerous examples of this. It has brought the opportunity for substantial cost savings and has led to operational improvements that allow us to provide a better and more responsive service.

But to achieve these and further ongoing benefits, tough decisions have to be made, and the most significant of these is the potential effect on workforce numbers. Ensuring that staff are kept fully informed about developments through a programme of consultation and communication is among the keys to a successful outcome.
