Metronet – EDF Energy is a 20% shareholder in the Metronet consortium that is responsible for upgrading and maintaining two-thirds of London Underground's infrastructure - its trains, stations, signalling, track, tunnels and bridges - under a thirty-year Public Private Partnership (PPP) contract which came into operation in April 2003.

Channel Tunnel Rail Link - The new 68-mile link from the Channel Tunnel to Kings Cross station in London is the first new railway to be built in the UK for over a century. It is scheduled to come into service by the end of 2006. EDF Energy is contracted to design, construct, finance, own, operate and maintain the critical electrical infrastructure between the public Distribution Network Operator and the connection serving the railway catenary system and other services.
Docklands Light Railway (DLR) – EDF Energy is a member of a consortium which was awarded the contract to construct, own and maintain the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) extension which crosses under the Thames from Isle of Dogs to Lewisham. EDF Energy undertook the mechanical and electrical design, procurement, installation and construction work. Now completed, EDF Energy takes the ownership risk associated with the equipment for a period of 24.5 years.
British Airports Authority (BAA) – In 1993, EDF Energy won a 90-year contract to own, manage and maintain the High Voltage electrical infrastructures at BAA's three largest UK airports: Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted. Across the three airports, the contract covers the management of an asset register that totals over 460 transformers, 750km of cable and 1200 items of switchgear.
Islington streetlighting PFI – In April 2003, EDF Energy agreed a thirty-year Public Finance Initiative deal with the London Borough of Islington for the provision of street lighting services. The contract includes the financing, refurbishment, operations and maintenance of Islington's streetlighting portfolio of nearly 14,000 lighting assets.
