We provide specialist services for local authorities, highway lighting departments, CCTV operators and other street furniture providers. Services include connection to street lighting columns, feeder pillars, bus shelters, telephone kiosks, and advertising hoardings.
Our Un-metered Connections work accounts for around 25% of the total Connections work EDF Energy Networks undertakes. This includes 34,000 new or altered services a year supporting approximately 1.5million existing connections in our footprint.
In support of OFGEM's published unmetered connections service level agreement, we have been working to improve our performance in the provision of unmetered services through a project called 'Excellence in UMC'. This project includes a full review of the UMC services and processess including customer engagement, systems and reporting.
The project team are working with key customers and customer representatives to ensure clarity of the Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) definitions. Over the forthcoming months we will be recommending and implementing step change improvements to our UMC processess, systems and reports.
