Powers the London Underground
EDF Energy Powerlink is the company responsible for managing, operating, and maintaining the electrical power network for London Underground.
We operate, maintain, and renew the London Underground power distribution system.
With a Head Office in Southwark Bridge Road, EDF Energy Powerlink has approximately 270 permanent staff, based at 5 main locations.
PADCo (the Power Asset Development Company) provides finance for the Initial Works programme of upgrades.
The VLUC (Victoria Line Upgrade Consortium) is an unincorporated consortium of EDF Energy, Balfour Kilpatrick, and ABB.
EDF Energy Powerlink is 80% owned by EDF Energy, 10% owned by Balfour Beatty and 10% by ABB.
