Our own and other studies have shown that people like seeing for themselves what their energy use actually is, because it helps them make decisions on how to change the way they use energy to save them money and also to reduce their carbon footprint.
Smart meters are also part of our commitment to work with the Government to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We take this commitment seriously, which is why we are involved in a government sponsored trial of Smart Meters, managed by Ofgem.
