In 2008, we teamed up with WRVS to provide practical help and advice on your doorstep. Founded in 1938, WRVS is one of the UK’s largest charities and voluntary organisations with over 70 years experience.
They run community centres across the country and have teams of volunteers who go out into the towns and villages to give their time and care to the most vulnerable. As part of our initiatives to get help to the most vulnerable, EDF Energy is funding a full time trainer to ensure WRVS’ 50,000 volunteers are made aware of all the help available. This will get information and advice to people from their volunteer in their own home or in their local community centre.
