Take a closer look at our new annual statement

Better Billing has completely transformed each bill we send to you, now including the annual statement. Here’s what we’ve done to make these important pieces of communication more informative, easier to understand and simpler to follow.

We’ve used customer language wherever we can to explain the annual statement in ’human’ terms.
We’ve added colour to make it easier to understand. You’ll see core messages in white boxes and added information on the right.

We’ve added information that’s more relevant to you, such as the energy label and tariff comparison section.
We’ve also included pictures showing last year’s energy usage as well as projected spend for the next 12 months.

The Billing Code

The Code of Practice for Accurate Bills (the “Billing Code”) was launched in July 2006 by the Energy Retail Association (ERA) along-side the Energy Ombudsman. The Billing Code provides consumers with additional protection over and above that required by the regulator OFGEM for accurate and informative billing. You can view the code in full here
