How it works
The most common heating controls are:
- time programmer – allows you to set on and off times for your heating and hot water
- integral thermostat – required on all immersion heaters to control water temperature and stop systems overheating
- time switch – allows you to minimise heat loss and energy costs to heat water only when you want to and to take advantage of off-peak energy tariffs
- dual elements switch – enables a second heater element to be switched on and off, while the first is permanently connected to an off-peak supply.
