Updating your old washing machine or fridge could save you money and reduce your home’s CO2 emissions.
How it works
In the European Union, appliances have energy labels rated from A to G, where A is the most efficient and G is the least efficient. For refrigeration, the EU energy label system goes up to A++.
The law requires that energy efficiency labels are shown on all refrigeration appliances, electric tumble dryers, washing machines, washer dryers, dishwashers, electric ovens, air conditioners, lamps and light bulb packaging. Only the most efficient products also carry the Energy Saving Recommended logo.
How it is installed
This varies according to the appliance.
