Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems are an extremely efficient way to generate heat – they feature in the UK Government’s energy policy and will play an important role in reducing carbon emissions in future.

How it works

CHP technology re-uses the by-product heat that’s usually lost through conventional systems – improving fuel efficiency and reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

How it’s installed

Installation must be carried out by an accredited installer, and there are a number of factors you should consider before choosing CHP for your home.

  • CHP isn’t an all-purpose solution and your home many not be suitable for installation.
  • Purchase and installation costs should be balanced against the expected lifetime of the system.
