With the EcoManager Wireless Appliance Controller, you and your family can take more control of the energy you use at home.

EcoManager is a wireless appliance controller that helps you monitor and control the amount of electricity you use at home. Connect your appliances to the transmitter plugs included, and you'll soon see how much electricity the appliances use, the equivalent CO2* and the potential cost** of running them – even when on standby.

And once you know that, you can work out how and where you can use less electricity. Then use EcoManager to remotely switch off connected appliances you're not using, to help you save energy and money.

* The conversion factor used for the CO2 on the EcoManager controller unit is: 1 kWh = 0.537kg/CO2 (DEFRA 5-year Grid Rolling Average electricity emissions factor 2006).

** Cost information is calculated using a single rate of 16.33p/kWh which is calculated from the geographical average of the EDF Energy Band A standard tariff prices, correct as at Nov '09, and as such your electricity bill will differ from the display. If you have Band A and Band B rates you can set an average of the two. Please refer to the EcoManager Full User Guide for more details on how the cost is calculated and how to change the EcoManager settings to better reflect your tariff rates.

When you go to bed, how many of your appliances are left on standby? By leaving electrical appliances on around your home when they don't need to be, not only are you wasting energy, you’re wasting money too.

The EcoManager wireless appliance controller is designed to stop that. A clever piece of technology, exclusive to EDF Energy, it makes it simple to turn off appliances that are connected to it, remotely. So you don’t even have to get to a plug socket to make sure that things are turned off.

The display panel shows you the current electricity usage of any connected appliances – and how much that might be costing you*. It also calculates the carbon dioxide emissions those appliances could be responsible for.**

So it’s the perfect tool to help you and your family take more control of the energy you use at home.
