Problem Solved!
Right, the electricity is safely off and I think this light might be the cause of the problem. Yes, can you see the flex has been pulled and bare wires are coming out of the plug. We were really lucky that didn’t cause a fire. That would have been dangerous, and embarrassing. I can just see the lads at work now, they’d tease me for years about that.
So I’m going to unplug the lamp – its safe because the electricity has been turned off and I’ll leave it in the kitchen so I can rewire the plug later. Then I have to go back to the main fuse box and reset the circuit breaker, replace the cover and then turn the electricity back on.
Lights Out
Here’s a little game called ‘Lights Out’. I'll think of a word to do with electricity or an object that uses electricity and you see if you can guess it. Click on the letters of the alphabet to see if that letter appears in the word - if it doesn’t a light in the house will go out. Complete the word before all the lights go out to win.
