Sign up to Climate Balance for Business

To help balance the impact of the CO2 emissions associated with the electricity supplied to your business, all you need to do is sign up to EDF Energy's Climate Balance for Business and contribute as little as 0.40p (excl VAT) per unit of electricity, on top of our standard unit price.

This will then be invested in a wide range of sustainable energy projects with one of our partners. They will use your donation to help fund environmental projects around the world that will help reduce CO2 emissions associated with your electricity usage.

  • To qualify, you need to be an EDF Energy business electricity customer* and sign up to our Climate Balance for Business Scheme. 

Registration is simple, please call one of our dedicated Business Advisors FREE on 0800 904 7458† and they will sign you up, which will enable you to start making a difference today.

Once registered, you will be sent a Welcome pack that contains a Climate Balance certificate and some energy efficiency stickers. Both are visual tools for you to use within your business to show how dedicated you are to helping the environment. You can also use the stickers to help educate your employees on the best way to be energy efficient. This will not only help reduce your overall CO2 emissions, it could save you money too! * Please note that not all SME tariffs qualify to be upgraded to a Climate Balance version (e.g. Prepayment tariffs, complex configuration/multi-rate tariffs and certain historic fixed price contracts are not directly compatible with Climate Balance). Customers on non qualifying tariffs can still participate in Climate Balance but to do so must first switch to a qualifying Business First Energy Saver tariff (and this may require a meter change) before upgrading to Climate Balance.
