Induction

We believe that it is important for an employee to feel part of the team on their first day.  Our on line induction programme provides new employees with opportunities to learn about the overall organisation, our vision, values and structure whilst our team induction process enables our new employees to meet their team and other key contacts within the organisation.

Performance and Development Reviews

We believe that high quality two way communication between an individual and their manager is key to effective personal development.  Our “Coaching for Performance” process combines both setting of an individuals performance objectives for the year with a detailed development plan in which an individuals skills, experiences and aspirations are discussed. Workshops are available for managers to enhance the quality of these development review discussions.

Foreign Language Tuition

As EDF Energy is a subsidiary of EDF Group, employees who work on international projects are encouraged to undertaken company sponsored Foreign Language Tuition to facilitate communication across the EDF Group.

Personal Development Workshops

There are a range of workshops / development opportunities for employees in order to meet needs identified through performance and development reviews.  These range from assertiveness skills, negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills to interview skills.

Support for Employee Education

EDF Energy supports employees to study either non-vocational or vocational subjects in their own time and will provide funding to cover tuition fees for suitable courses.

Professional Education
EDF Energy also supports employees studying for work-related (vocational) qualifications. The Learning and Education Assistance Programme aims to provide financial support for employees who wish to further their professional development.
