We are looking for outstanding individuals for 12 month Industrial Placement opportunities in 2011 within our Supply Chain team in Barnwood, Gloucester.
You’ll need to be a real people person with strong communication and team working skills, innovative ideas and the potential to influence the way we do things. In return for your hard work we will provide you with a solid grounding, building on your theoretical knowledge with real life experience giving you a real kick start to your career. In addition, sponsorship opportunities may also be available, depending on individual performance and business need.
What will you do?
Supporting the operation of our existing fleet of nuclear power stations poses many unique and commercial challenges to our Supply Chain team. With an annual spend of over £660m in over 50 market areas, the Supply Chain team are at the core of ensuring the correct goods and services are ordered, delivered safely, are of high quality, arrive on site at the optimum time at the best prices possible. If successful, you’ll be working in amongst our team providing key support into our key markets and also to the Supply Chain teams on our power stations.

Is it for me?
The scheme is suited to undergraduates who are currently studying a relevant degree (Business Studies/Management etc) and have at least one year of university study behind you. You will need to demonstrate commercial awareness coupled with strong analytical skills, great communication and persuasion/influencing skills. The ability to keep calm under pressure and achieve results within deadlines is also a must.
