This is an exciting opportunity to join the Company Health and Safety Team. We take the lead in setting the strategic direction for Health and Safety Management across the organisation, to help us in our ambition to achieve a world class zero harm safety record.
This placement will provide the successful candidate with a unique opportunity to gain a good understanding of health and safety management and its importance in the modern day workplace. At EDF Energy Health and Safety is our top priority and has a collective responsibility that includes everybody. The role of the company health and safety team is to:
- Set the strategic direction for Health and Safety Management
- Work collaboratively with the EDF Energy Business Units to ensure that continuous improvements are identified and addressed in regard to health and safety management across the company
- Provide up to date advice on new or changing health and safety legislation
- Provide assurance through audit reporting to the company executive against on health and safety policy, process and procedure
What will you do?
You will work alongside the Chief Safety Officer and Company H&S Improvement manager getting involved in key aspects of health and safety management that include:
- Conducting research and establishing best practice
- Development of knowledge bank
- Maintenance of website
- Track legislation
- Analysis of statistics and trends
- Management of actions
- Manage health and safety campaigns

We are looking for undergraduates currently studying a relevant degree subject such as engineering, business or design. Essential attributes for this role include:
