This scheme is now closed to applications for the 2012 Intake.  We will open the 2013 Oportunities in the Autumn.  You can register your interest in these opportunities here.

What does it involve?

At the forefront of the UK’s nuclear renaissance, the possibilities are immense. But if we are to meet our ambitions as an organisation, we need to continually grow and develop as individuals. A key part of our long-term strategy, therefore, is about ensuring each and every person who works with us has the up-to-date skills and knowledge they need to excel in their roles.

During this placement you will help the Nuclear New Build Education team create a talent pipeline to ensure we have the required future workforce to build and operate Hinkley Point C. You will support the Nuclear New Build education and talent team in developing and mobilising a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) programme in the Somerset to ensure children remain enthused an engaged with STEM subjects throughout their education and to make the Energy industry a more attractive place to work.

You will work with the Nuclear New Build education team to develop the programme and activity with schools and colleges across Somerset which will promote STEM Careers.  You will work with our current STEM graduates to help forge stronger links and develop partnerships with the relevant HE institutes and professional institutes

Who is it for?

Ideally you will be studying a STEM related subject at university however this is not essential.  The successful candidate will have good interpersonal, communications skills and will be delivery focussed.

Where is it based?
