What does it involve?
At the forefront of the UK’s nuclear renaissance, the possibilities are immense. But if we are to meet our ambitions as an organisation, we need to continually grow and develop as individuals. A key part of our long-term strategy, therefore, is about ensuring each and every person who works with us has the up-to-date skills and knowledge they need to excel in their roles.
Thanks to our large and varied workforce – which includes site and office-based staff - and the unique nature of our work, EDF Energy offers many exciting and fascinating HR challenges. You will work within the Nuclear New Build HR Operations team. The responsibilities of the team cover everything from recruitment, to performance management, policy and guidance support, reward to support business objectives.
During your internship you’ll gain valuable experience in many of these areas, which will give you a fantastic insight into the day-to-day work of our HR Operations Team as well as the kind of longer-term initiatives we get involved with.
Who is it for?
We are looking for individuals who can work effectively as part of a team, and want to take ownership of their own experience. Ideally you’ll be working towards a business or HR related degree, know MS Office like the back of your hand and perhaps even have some experience with other software packages like SAP. We can be relatively flexible on the start date of the internship from March 2012 onwards.
Where is it based?
Our HR Internship will be based at our London office.
