For 2012 we’ll be taking on around 70 graduates across 7 schemes. We also have 5 Industrial Placement schemes and 7 Summer Internship programmes.

Can you tell me more about EDF Energy?
EDF Energy is the largest generator of low carbon electricity in the UK, and a major player in nuclear power. It also the largest supplier of electricity based on volume in Great Britain. Do you accept applications from candidates who require a work permit?

Are there any specific requirements or qualifications for applicants?
Applicants need to have a minimum of a 2:1 at undergraduate degree level or a 2:2 with a postgraduate degree.

I am a PhD student - can I apply?
Yes. We accept applications from Bachelors, Masters and PhD students and graduates.
Can I apply for more than one scheme?
Our Application Tracking system allows you to make one application only. We advise you consider which scheme you are most suited to prior to making your application. Please contact us by email for advice on which scheme to apply. We may contact you to discuss alternative schemes if you have applied for a scheme for which your qualifications are not relevant.

Where could I be based?
Your location will depend on which programme you are applying for. Due to the rotational nature of our programmes you should be prepared to relocate if necessary during your programme.
Nuclear power station and Engineering Support:
You could be based at any one of our power stations throughout the UK or at one of our non-operational sites in Gloucester or East Kilbride.
Networks Engineers:
You’ll be based in South East England.
Finance/ Human Resources/ Business Project Analyst/ Analyst/Marketing:
These roles could be based at various locations throughout the UK including London, Hove, Plymouth, Gloucester and East Kilbride.
When do recruits start?
For Industrial Placement and Graduate starters your employment with EDF Energy in will commence in September 2012.
Summer Interns will join us in July 2012.
What is the recruitment process?
Once submitted, your completed application will be considered against our set criteria along with all other applications. There are a number of stages within our selection process including, aptitude tests, telephone interviews, assessment centres and the final stage being technical and competency based interviews.
At the end of each selection stage you will be informed of the outcome for your application.

After you’ve registered you need to complete our online application form. This is your first opportunity to prove to us you have what we’re looking for, so ensure that you fully complete all sections of the application form.
